 BANANA FRY


INGREDIENTS:

  • Banana-2

  • Onion-1

  • Green chillies-3

  • Oil-5 tbsp

  • Ginger garlic paste-1 tbsp

  • Red chili powder-2 tbsp

  • Salt- 1 ½ tbsp

  • Coriander powder- 1 tbsp

  • Mustard seeds-1 tsp

  • Cumin-1 tsp

  • Urad dal-1 tbsp

  • Split bengal gram-1 tbsp

  • Turmeric-1 tsp 

  • Curry leaves-10


PREPARATION:

  1. Cut the bananas into half , add them to a pressure cooker, add water till the bananas are submerged completely and add 1 tbsp oil to it so that the bananas will not turn black.

  2. Close the lid and cook them till 3 whistles pop on medium flame. Once the cooker is cooled down, peel the bananas, chop them into small cubes.

  3. Cut the chillies and onion into vertical slices and keep them aside.


INSTRUCTION:

  1. Place a kadai on the stove, add the oil and let it heat.

  2. Now add the mustard seeds,cumin,mustard seeds,split bengal gram, urad dal, turmeric, curry leaves, sliced onion and green chillies.

  3. Once the onion turns translucent add salt and ginger garlic paste.

  4. When the raw smell of ginger garlic paste is gone add the diced banana pieces and mix it thoroughly.

  5. While mixing, smash the banana pieces using a spatula so that it will turn into scrambled texture.

  6. Once the scramble is fried enough add the red chili powder , coriander seeds powder and mix it thoroughly.


Banana fry is ready to be served, this can be served with rice and a drop of ghee to make it even more delicious. In the end you can add some chopped coriander for the fragrance.
