Bendakaya is also known as ladies fingers, senaga kaaram means roasted chana dal powder. Senaga kaaran can be used in different frys if it is kept ready.Bendakaya senaga kaaram is best served with boiled rice and also roti.

INGREDIENTS:
Ladies fingers 500g
Roasted chana dal ¼ cup
Cumin 1 tsp+1 tbsp
Mustard 1 tsp
Chana dal 1 tbsp
Urad dal 1 tbsp
Turmeric ½ tsp
Oil 3 tbsp
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Garlic cloves 10-12
Curry leaves 10-12
Salt ½ tbsp
INSTRUCTIONS:
Firstly cut the ladies fingers into ½ inch circles and keep them aside
Place a pan on the stove, add 3 tbsp oil, mustard seeds,cumin1 tsp, chana dal 1 tbsp, urad dal 1 tbsp,turmeric ½ tsp, 10-12 curry leaves.
Once the phope is roasted add the diced ladies fingers pieces, ½ tbsp salt and cook on medium flame.
While the ladies fingers are cooking, take a mixer jar, add ¼ cup roasted chana dal,1 tbsp cumin,10-12 garlic cloves, 1 tbsp red chili powder and grind them into a fine powder.
Now to the cooked ladies fingers add the ground powder and roast on medium flame for 2 min.
Bendakaya senaga kaaram is ready to be served.
