NUVVU UNDALU
Nuvvu undalu also known as till ke ladoos are prepared with just 2 ingredients, sesame seeds and jaggery. Sesame seeds are rich in calcium and jaggery is rich in iron.These ladoos are good for teenage girls who just started on their menstrual cycles and also for women who have irregular periods.
Preparation of these ladoos differ from region to region, in some places they add peanuts and desiccated coconut where as in some places they add roasted sesame seeds to jaggery syrup and then prepare the ladoos.
The below recipe is the basic 2 ingredient recipe which can be prepared in 15-20 minutes

INGREDIENTS:
2 cups of white sesame seeds
1 cup powdered jaggery
2 or 3 tbsp of ghee
2 tsp cardamom powder (optional)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Switch on the stove and place a kadai on it.
Add the white sesame seeds to it, roast them on medium low flame.
Stir the sesame seeds constantly till they turn golden color and transfer them to a bowl so that they won't get over roasted.
Now add the jaggery to the mixer jar, grind it into fine powder and transfer it into a bowl
Once the roasted sesame seeds are cooled down add them to the mixer, grind them into core powder and transfer it to a bowl and mix both the ingredients thoroughly.
Add 2 tsp of cardamom powder to the mixture. Cardamom powder is added just for fragrance purpose so it is completely optional.
add 2 or 3 tbsp of ghee to the mixture. And mix it thoroughly.
Now take a handful of the mixture into your hand and start binding it tightly into round balls.
nuvvu undalu or til ke ladoos are ready are ready to be served, you can store them in a an airtight container for 15 days
NOTE:
You can add chopped dry fruits like almonds and pista on top or to the mixture while binding the ladoos. It gives the ladoos added flavors and also good nutrition.
